Dear 8x8,

I just got a ViaTV unit for myself and my mom. I'd moved from my native Miami, FL to Washington, DC a few years ago after our family's entire neighborhood and area were destroyed by Hurricane Andrew. I've found myself with a busy career and little time to take the brief, usually inexpensive 2 1/2 hour flight home as much as I used to. Although it's not the same as being back in sunny Miami, it's great to see my mom now when we talk on the phone.

She's such a "technophobe", usually daunted by the interface on the VCR or the CD player. But the ViaTV is so much fun for her that she has no problem. Initially, she saw it as just another one of my techno-toys, but it's become in just a few days a great way to keep in touch.

P.S. In spite of the fact that I use Sprint heavily for long-distance and cellular, C-Phone's alliance with Sprint didn't influence me at all. Your product is a better price and plan and it wasn't even a contest in my mind once I looked into it.
